We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and eager to learn Research Associate (RA) to join our research team. The ideal candidate has a background in animal models, is highly motivated, and looking to make a significant impact on our cross-disciplinary team. Candidates with vaccinology or immunology backgrounds are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Isolation of mouse primary immune cells from tissues
- Cell culture of primary cells and cell lines
- Lentiviral and retroviral production
- Transduction and transfection of cells
- Executing assays of immune responses to peptides and cell therapy in mice including cytokine ELISA, and Flow Cytometry analysis of immune cell populations
- Executing assays of anti-tumor response in mice including growth and survival in implanted tumor models
- Strong communication skills to present findings internally and externally
- Highly productive and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Maintain detailed records of experimental protocols and data in laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policy
Requirements/Education/Experience
- BS/MS in Immunology, Biological Sciences
- Previous lab experience in academic or industry setting (prefer 2+ years)
- Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques
- Experience with mammalian cell culture using sterile techniques
- Hands-on experience with pre-clinical mouse models of cancer, including animal handling and manipulation; administration of experimental compounds through intravenous, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous routes of administration
- Experience with flow cytometry
