The QC Chemist is responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical chemistry assays of raw materials, in-process samples, finished formulations, and will assist in method development, validation, and transfer activities.
1. Performance of analytical testing for incoming, in-process and final products, and stability samples.
2. Performance of raw material monograph testing.
3. Performance of QC analytical chemistry assays; HPLC, GC, IR, TOC, Particle Size.
4. Performance of wet chemistry assays.
5. Performance of QC general laboratory housekeeping; e.g. glass washing, waste disposal.
6. Performance of QC general laboratory equipment maintenance.
7. Assist in QC method qualifications, validations, and transfers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a scientific discipline with relevant coursework or work experience in analytical chemistry. Three years of industry experience. Prior experience in a GMP or GLP environment a plus.
