The Production Specialist II/III is accountable for all aspects of downstream lab processing, quality testing, documentation and logistics for human primary cell products.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing aseptic technique in a Biosafety Cabinet to process bulk human tissues per established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform quality control (QC) testing (cell counting and viability testing) of produced products and evaluation of tested parameters against established specifications and determining release for shipment
- Maintenance of consumable inventory (ordering, cycle counting, inventory adjustments in NetSuite, receiving, put away)
- Management of General Lab, Facility and Equipment Maintenance (Equipment PMs, Calibrations, repairs, etc.)
- Management and execution of Work Orders, Assembly Builds, Material Transfers, and Fulfillment tasks, including data recording and troubleshooting within Netsuite ERP
- Performance of controlled temperature packaging and logistics activities (scheduling, system entry, labeling )for Commercial (Fed Ex) and independent (local couriers) carriers.
- Customer service and vendor management
- Handling and disposing of biological waste
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate and or continually deliver:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science discipline
- 2 years of paid working laboratory experience performing aseptic technique for activities defined by written SOPs
- 1 year of experience in logistics and/or material management
- Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including but not limited to automated cell counters, scales, biosafety cabinets, micropipettes, vortexer)
- Proficient in Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to travel domestically for up to two weeks for training – Most likely one week
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending upon project timelines
