Associate Scientist/Scientist

We are seeking an exceptional associate scientist who will play a key role in leading our pre-clinical activities for our therapeutic programs.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute pre-clinical activities to advance our programs to the clinic
• Lead and support efforts to establish and improve internal process capabilities related to nucleic acid therapies
• Support interactions and relationships with contract research organizations
• Provide results analysis and assist in document preparation for regulatory and patent filings
• Present results internally and externally
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance our intellectual property, our drug development and our company growth

Qualifications

• PhD or Ms/Bs in Science w/ 1-5 years with relevant industry or research experience
• Demonstration of independent leadership and appropriate collaboration on scientific projects
• Working knowledge of molecular and cell biology laboratory techniques and nucleic acid technologies. Human cell culture (e.g., iPS cell) and gene editing (e.g., CRISPR) experience preferred
• Strong desire to develop transformational therapies to treat and cure devastating diseases
• Strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
