Full Time, Permanent
The position will be responsible for the following:
- Develop cell-based assays for characterization and therapeutic target validation
- Evaluate small molecule inhibitors for efficacy and potency
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Document experimental results in electronic/ paper laboratory notebook and written reports
- Regular participation in, and present at, research group and project team meetings
- Prepare and order necessary reagents, solutions, consumables and other laboratory supplies
- Comply with laboratory safety procedures
- Assist in writing/reviewing SOPs
- Use and maintain scientific equipment, instrumentation and computer systems
Requirements:
- BS/MS in a scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology) and 2-5 years related laboratory experience
- Mammalian tissue culture is a prerequisite (Must Have)
- Flow cytometry, cell based assay experience evaluating small molecules is preferred
- Oncology experience highly desired
- Ability to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems and seek solutions
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot critical issues associated with in vitro assays
- Must be adaptable, accountable, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic
