Full Time, Permanent

The position will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop cell-based assays for characterization and therapeutic target validation
  • Evaluate small molecule inhibitors for efficacy and potency
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Document experimental results in electronic/ paper laboratory notebook and written reports
  • Regular participation in, and present at, research group and project team meetings
  • Prepare and order necessary reagents, solutions, consumables and other laboratory supplies
  • Comply with laboratory safety procedures
  • Assist in writing/reviewing SOPs
  • Use and maintain scientific equipment, instrumentation and computer systems

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in a scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology) and 2-5 years related laboratory experience
    • Mammalian tissue culture is a prerequisite (Must Have)
    • Flow cytometry, cell based assay experience evaluating small molecules is preferred
    • Oncology experience highly desired
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative to solve problems and seek solutions
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot critical issues associated with in vitro assays
  • Must be adaptable, accountable, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic
