Microbiology Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Characterize microorganisms
• Review and follow batch records, SOPs and work instructions to support the Microbiology group
• Assist with developing microbiological methods and sample production to support assay development
• Develop, establish and execute processes for preparation of samples to support assay verification and validation activities
• Demonstrated track record of meeting project timelines
• Work in a collaborative environment as part of a highly functioning team

What you bring to the table

• S. in microbiology or molecular biology or closely related field
• 0-1 year experience in the biotechnology industry
• Comfort working with pathogenic organisms and human blood
• Demonstrated knowledge of microbiology required; a background in bacterial physiology a plus
• Sterile technique and cell culture expertise a must
• Experience working in Biosafety Level 2 environment a plus
