The primary goal of the Associate Lab Scientist is to develop and maintain testing methodologies that meet organizational goals and are in compliance with industry regulations.
Primary Activities
Execution of experiments, reporting of results, standardization of methods, ongoing maintenance and support of instrumentation, methods, materials, and QA support.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications and Experience
- Validation of analytical methods
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation
- Independently design and execute experiments
- Research and development
- Experience with instrumentation such as: HPLC, LC/MS/MS, GC, and ICPMS
- Regulatory Compliance
- Project management
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Review of scientific literature
- Experimental design
- Good lab practices / good manufacturing practices
- Support ongoing development, standardization and validation of analytical methods
- Optimization of methods and laboratory work flow
Job Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in science, chemistry or pharmaceutical related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory
- Instrumentation experience including theory, application, and trouble shooting / maintenance
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft office
- Knowledge of ISO-17025 and MADPH requirements highly preferred
